This is an interesting case because a win by Congressman Mike Bost, et al, would mean absentee (including, probably, military) ballots would have to arrive by election day instead of before two weeks later.
Given the postal service is so miserable, I have mixed feelings about a favorable decision for those challenging Illinois law. I mail my ballot from Cape Coral, Florida, and when I mail my property tax bill from there it takes almost two weeks to get cashed.
Great for the float, but such a delay might rob me of my vote, not one of which I have missed since turning 21 in 1964.
