Crystal Lake Police Conduct Robbery Investigation

Crystal Lake, IL – On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at approximately 6:01 p.m., Crystal Lake Police responded to the 300 block of Pathway Court for the report of a robbery.

The victim, a 50 year old male, reported approximately 45 minutes earlier, two adult male suspects approached him and demanded his bicycle.

After refusing, the male Hispanic suspect displayed a knife which caused the victim to relinquish the bicycle and run away.

The victim reported being in fear for his life. The delay in reporting the crime was due to the victim not having a cell phone.

No injuries were reported by the victim.

The suspects were described as:

  • Suspect #1: Male White, in his 30’s, approximately 5’11” weighing approximately 135-140 lbs., with short curly blond hair wearing a long sleeve Nike brand athletic shirt and blue jeans.
  • Suspect #2: Male Hispanic, in his 30’s, approximately 5’4”, weighing approximately 120 lbs., with jet black hair that was “slicked back” wearing a gray hoody style sweatshirt and blue jean.

The stolen bicycle was described only as a “red mountain bike” with an estimated value of $200.00.
