Chamber Foundation Awards First Entrepreneur Academy Grant to Boys & Girls Club of the Northwest Suburbs
ALGONQUIN/LAKE IN THE HILLS, Ill. — The Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber Foundation today announced the first grant award under its Entrepreneur Academy program, which supports workforce education, training, and skills development for local businesses and nonprofit organizations.
“The Entrepreneur Academy grant is designed to increase access to professional development that directly benefits our community and organizations,” said Mary Caporale, board member of the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber Foundation.
The inaugural award ($1,350) will fund three staff members of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northwest Suburbs to attend the Midwest Leadership Conference in Kentucky. Attendees include Kayla Caldwell, Director of Program Impact; as well as Area Directors James Grigsby and Diana Colin. The grant covers conference registration fees to facilitate training that participants will bring back to strengthen programs and services for local youth.

“We’re grateful to the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Chamber Foundation for investing in the professional growth of our team,” said Amanda Schleede, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs. “This support ensures our staff are equipped with the latest tools and strategies to create safe, inclusive, and impactful environments for the youth we serve.”
