Incident: Death Investigation
On Monday, October 6, 2025, at approximately 11:52 p.m., an officer of the Harvard Police Department observed a parked vehicle in the 700 block of North Division Street (Route 14) with its hazard lights activated in the northbound lane.
Upon approaching to investigate the apparent motorist assist, the officer discovered a female driver and male passenger deceased inside the vehicle.
The McHenry County Major Investigative Assistance Team (MIAT) has been activated and is actively investigating the incident.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.
North Division Street is currently closed between Diggins Street (Route 173) and McKinley Street.
