From Kane County Treasurer Chris Lauzen:
Chris Lauzen Announces Re-Election Campaign for Kane County Treasurer
Aurora, IL In a statement issued in his Aurora childhood neighborhood, current Treasurer and former Kane County Chairman and State Senator Chris Lauzen announced his campaign for re-election to Kane County Treasurer.

I enjoy working for you as County Treasurer.
Our team has demonstrated that we produce excellent results together.
My promises made to you when elected Treasurer have been kept and expectations exceeded:
- $20,000,000 in annual County interest income earn, rather than $2M.
- Sympathetic collection of $1.6 Billion in annual property taxes.
- $600,000+ saved for taxpayers by replacing operating bank after 22 years.
- Accurate information provided to everyone from county audited financial statements.
I am running for one final term as Treasurer to complete this work and because four of our staff members, with a combined 113 years of experience, are retiring in the next five years.
Their competent replacements must be recruited, trained, and managed up to “full-speed”.
This is not an easy task; consequences of failure would be crippling to County operations.
I have the proven experience, skills, and systems to successfully manage this transition to our next generation of stable, highly-qualified public administration of the Treasury function.
When I was 10-years old, I lived with my Grandpa George Moldovan on Lehnertz Avenue on Pigeon Hill in Aurora.
When Grandpa George came home from his catering business, he’d turn on the TV and talk back to the news about his high property taxes.
I’d say, “But Grandpa, they can’t hear you.”
Now it’s the politicians who don’t hear taxpayers concerns about being taxed out of their homes.
Whether this is due to indifference, neglect, or incompetence, we (taxpayers) must push back.
I am the serious, experienced and proven “anti-tax-increase” candidate for Kane County Treasurer.
