Unlawful Possession of a Firearm

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, at approximately 9:05 p.m., Harvard Police Officers were dispatched to a parking lot in the 400 block of North Division Street regarding a report of a verbal altercation in which a handgun had been displayed and pointed at an 18-year-old male victim.

The incident was reported to have occurred earlier in a parking lot in the 300 block of South Division Street.

It was further reported that the suspect was currently on a motorcycle in the 21000 block of McGuire Road.

Officers responded to both locations.

Upon arrival in the 21000 block of McGuire Road, the suspect was observed in a parking lot.

Officers attempted a traffic stop on the motorcycle, but the driver attempted to flee and ultimately crashed at the entry/exit of the lot.

The suspect then fled on foot into a nearby field.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office was contacted to assist in the search; however, the suspect was not located.

A firearm was recovered along with the motorcycle.

This case remains under investigation.
