From the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District:

Vehicle Strikes Residence in Woodstock

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 2:47 p.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 2300 block of Aspen Drive for a reported vehicle into a residence with possible entrapment.

Crews arrived within minutes and found that a vehicle had struck the garage of a single-story duplex, causing moderate to heavy damage to both the vehicle and the structure.

A natural gas meter was also damaged, creating an active leak.

The driver, an adult woman, was out of the vehicle prior to the arrival of fire crews.

She was evaluated by paramedics at the scene but declined further treatment or transport to a hospital.

Firefighters secured the damaged natural gas meter until Nicor Gas arrived and completed a full assessment.

Representatives from the City of Woodstock Building & Zoning Department were requested due to the structural damage, and as a precaution, the adjoining unit was temporarily evacuated while the gas leak was addressed.

The residence remains habitable while repairs are being made.

No additional injuries were reported. The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the crash, and any additional questions regarding the investigation, including cause, fault, seat-belt use, and speeds, should be directed to their office.
