The McHenry County Suicide Prevention Task Force is excited to host our third annual suicide prevention walk event- Never Walk Alone, taking place on Saturday, September 27th at The Dole in Crystal Lake.
Suicide is the 12th leading cause of death in the United States, with an average of 130 individuals dying by suicide every day.
In 2024 there were 34 suicide deaths in McHenry County.
Suicide is a Public Health Issue that has lasting and harmful effects on individuals, families, and communities.
But there is HOPE, suicide is preventable!
We all have the ability to prevent suicide, become a #McHenryCountyLifesaver by:
Becoming a Sponsor
Your sponsorship directly benefits local suicide prevention and mental health education efforts in our community. Your support and generosity make it possible for the McHenry County Suicide Prevent Task Force to continue to expand our Mission to raise awareness of mental health and suicide prevention, provide education, implement prevention programs, and provide support to those affected
by suicide within McHenry County.
All Sponsoring Organizations will be provided information for tax purposes including 501c3 letter and W9.
Participate in the Walk
Never Walk Alone will take place on Saturday, September 27th at The Dole in Crystal Lake Participants can walk independently or register as a team. There is no minimum fundraising required.
