DANIEL M. SCHLINDER SENTENCED TO FIVE YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE
McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi Freese announces that on August 27, 2025, Daniel M. Schlinder, 41, of McHenry, Illinois, was sentenced to five years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for the offense of Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.

Schlinder was sentenced by the Honorable Judge Tiffany Davis after entering a negotiated plea of guilty to the offense.
On December 11, 2023, the McHenry City Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driven by Schlinder.
At the time of the stop, Schlinder was on parole for a previous drug offense, and was known to be engaged in the sale and delivery of narcotics.
A search of Schlinder and his vehicle resulted in officers finding methamphetamine in his possession.
Upon release from custody, Schlinder will be placed on Mandatory Supervised Release for a period of six months.
