For at least a fifteen years I have been attending the Lake in the Hills Labor Day Parade.
Saturday was the first time I saw a labor union float.
It was from the IBEW.
When I saw the float at the Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade before the deluge, I told one of the men that I hoped he would enter the Lake in the Hills Parade, too, that there never had been a labor union float.
At least those at the Lake in the Hills Parade didn’t get soaked as those attending Crystal Lake’s did.
