Based on the above agenda item for Monday meeting of the Crystal Lake Elementary School District 47 Board of Education, I’d conclude that transparency is not considered one of the district’s high goals.
I had to look the Public Acts up on the internet to figure out what would be considered.
They seem to reference requirements to post high salaries:
- Public Act 96-0434
- Public Act 96-0266
- Public Act 97-0609
There is no way anyone in the public would have any idea what is to be considered from these references.

And, speaking of transparency, anyone know what “with IASA” stands for in this agenda item:
- Intergovernmental Agreement with IASA
I typed the initials into a search engine and came up with the following:
- International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) Program (Federal Aviation Administration)
- the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association
- Illinois Association of School Administrators
- The International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives
Let’s assume the initials stand for the Illinois Association of School Administrators.
That’s not a government, so how could there be an “intergovernmental agreement?”
