On Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 6:57 a.m., the Harvard Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 19700 block of Hebron Road in unincorporated Harvard for a reported single-vehicle rollover with a trapped occupant.

Firefighters arrived and located a small pickup truck on its roof in a field.

The adult male driver was believed to be trapped inside, prompting the immediate dispatch of additional medical resources, including MD-1 and a medical helicopter.

After a quick assessment by paramedics, it was determined the occupant was deceased, believed to be a result of the crash.

All additional responding resources were returned, and crews remained on scene to assist with operations.

This marks the fourth serious incident in the western part of McHenry County within the past 24 hours, following multiple emergency responses across the Woodstock, Marengo, and Harvard areas.

We remain grateful for the continued cooperation and coordination between fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies during these complex responses.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation. All inquiries regarding the cause of the crash, including contributing factors and circumstances surrounding the death, should be directed to their office.
