Paramedics Respond To Fatal Drowning
On Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 4:14 p.m., the Harvard Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 10900 block of White Oaks Road in unincorporated Harvard for a reported drowning.

Upon arrival, paramedics located an adult female who had been removed from an above-ground pool by a McHenry County Sheriff’s deputy, who was performing CPR.
Paramedics immediately took over care and initiated advanced life-saving efforts. A medical helicopter was initially requested but was later canceled. Additional support was provided by MD-1, a physician-staffed emergency response vehicle.
Despite extensive efforts, the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene by the responding Mercyhealth physician.
The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the drowning. All further inquiries should be directed to their office.
