Separate fifteen minute meetings of the Algonquin Township Board were scheduled last night in the rain.

Consideration and approval of the funds under the jurisdiction of Township Supervisor Richard Tado took fourteen minutes.

At almost $2.8 million, the amount to be extracted from taxpayers was up about $60,000.

Consideration of the Road District financials took forty-five minutes.

Township Trustee Theresa Sharp Decker said she couldn’t get the figures to add up.

Supervisor Tado, Administrator Pam Gavers and Attorney Jim Militello started punching the numbers Decker questioned and concluded she was right.

It took forty-five minutes for corrections to be made before a vote was taken.

Attorney Militello characterized the mistakes to be scrivener’s errors.

He also pointed out that Highway Commissioner Danijela Sandberg had mentioned that she would be submitting a supplementary budget.
