Towne Park Ribbon Cutting Rescheduled to June 19 Due to Weather

ALGONQUIN, IL – The Village of Algonquin is thrilled to unveil the brand-new Towne Park and invites the community to join in celebrating this exciting milestone at a special ribbon-cutting event.

Initially scheduled for June 18, the event has been rescheduled to Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. due to forecasted storms and their impact on site conditions.

The ribbon-cutting celebration will feature something for everyone, including a chance to explore the park’s custom-designed playground, enjoy live entertainment, and grab a bite from local food trucks.

This much-anticipated moment marks the culmination of a shared vision for a vibrant and inclusive public space, and we are excited to celebrate it together with our community.
