From State Rep. Jeff Keicher:
State Representative Jeff Keicher Announces Re-Election Campaign
“I’m Ready to Keep Fighting for our Future”
Sycamore, IL – Republican State Representative Jeff Keicher announced today that he .is running for re-election in Illinois’ 70th House District.

(The tip of the district is in Crystal Lake where former McHenry County Board member Carolyn Schofield lives. It was taken out of Democrat Sue Ness’ district to avoid opposition from Schofield.)
“Government doesn’t have its own money – what it spends, it takes from Illinois families and Illinois businesses.
“Illinois government is taking too much and providing too little in return.
“We need to stop chasing away families and job creators with excessive taxation and regulation and get back to common sense,”
Keicher said. “I’m a Republican in Illinois, so naturally, I’m an optimist.

“I believe in my core that Illinois can be a growing powerhouse again – if we just get government out of the way.”
First elected in 2018, Keicher was moved to run after witnessing firsthand the chaos coming out of Springfield and its impact on businesses and families.
As House Republican Caucus Chairman, he has led the charge against mandates, high taxes, and overreach from Chicago politicians.
Keicher has worked across the aisle to:
- Expand access to mammograms and women’s health care
- Encourage energy investment through nuclear innovation
- Push meaningful property tax and TIF reforms
- Protect taxpayers, parents, students, and small business owners
“I’m proud to have passed bipartisan reforms that protect people and grow opportunity here in Illinois.
“But I’m not done yet – there’s more to fix, and I’m ready to keep fighting for our future,” he added.
Keicher does not accept a taxpayer-funded pension or health care, saying, “Illinoisans are tired of self-serving elected officials.
“There’s a need to be more selfless in public service. I’ve tried to live that example every day in my approach to public service.”
Jeff lives in Sycamore with his wife Karen and their three children.
He owns an insurance agency and is active in many community organizations.
