From the Sheriff’s Department:
Sheriff’s Office cuts ribbon on new Marine Unit facility
With the Memorial Day start of summer boating season, the men and women of the McHenry County Sheriffs Office will be patrolling the Fox River from their new facility!

Deputies cut the ribbon May 13 on the new facility in McHenry from where their five boats will patrol McHenry County’s portion of the Fox River and the Chain O’Lakes. Boats are fully equipped to respond to water-related emergencies and to assist local fire departments’ water-rescue teams.

Like so many county projects, it was made possible with the cooperation and collaboration by other local governments – thank you to the City of McHenry, the McHenry Police Department, and McHenry High School District 156 for their help in making this long-sought project a reality.
