The Lake in the Hills Police Department reminds drivers: Buckle up and drive sober

Lake in the Hills, IL – The Lake in the Hills Police Department announced today it issued 46 citations during the Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period.

During the enforcement period, the Lake in the Hills Police Department wrote 9 citations for seat belt violations and took the following additional actions:

Citations:

  • 1 – Disobeyed Traffic Control Device
  • 9 – Failure to Wear Seat Belt
  • 18 – Speeding
  • 6 – Operating a Vehicle While Using Electronic Communication Device
  • 2 – Registration Suspended for Mandatory Insurance Violation
  • 1 – Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle
  • 3 – Expired Registration
  • 1 – No Registration Light
  • 1 – Improper Use of Registration Sticker

Arrests:

  • 1 – Aggravated Speeding in a Construction Zone 26-34mph over limit
  • 1 – Driving While License Suspended
  • 1 – No Valid DL
  • 1 – Speeding 26-34mph Over Limit
