Fatal Crash on Kishwaukee Valley Road
On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 7:51 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the 13600 block of Kishwaukee Valley Road in Woodstock for a reported serious crash with entrapment.
Crews arrived within minutes and located a heavily damaged pickup truck off the roadway, wrapped around a tree in the yard of a residence.
Paramedics quickly determined the adult male driver had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The male driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle. No additional hazards were identified, and firefighters cleared the scene at 8:15 a.m.
The Woodstock Police Department, with assistance from the McHenry County Regional Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT), is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
All inquiries regarding the investigation, including contributing factors, seat belt use, vehicle speeds, or fault, should be directed to their office.
The area and immediate roadway were reopened around 1:30 p.m.
