From the Starte’s Attorney:
CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS SENTENCED TO THIRTEEN YEARS IN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR ARMED ROBBERY
The McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office announces that on May 1, 2025, Christopher Williams, 22, of Round Lake Beach, was sentenced to thirteen years in the Illinois Department of Corrections after entering a plea of guilty to one count of Armed Robbery.

The sentence was handed down by the Honorable Judge Mark Gerhardt after Williams entered a negotiated plea of guilty to the charge.
On July 23, 2023, deputies from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 3410 Thompson Rd in Wonder Lake, Illinois for a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a minor victim had been robbed at gun point while in the back of a silver Porsche Cayenne.
The vehicle was eventually located, and a traffic stop was effectuated.
Williams was identified to be one of the passengers inside.
A show-up – where the victim was asked to identify his assailant – was conducted and Williams was determined to be the individual who struck the victim in the face with a blue gun and demanded his money.
McHenry County State’s Attorney Randi Freese commends the victim for his courage in reporting the offense and for his assistance in identifying Williams as the perpetrator.
Freese also thanks the deputies involved from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for their immediate and collaborative actions which resulted in the swift apprehension of Williams.
This case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant State’s Attorney Andrew Fisk.
