Structure Fire – 65 Della St. Crystal Lake
Crystal Lake, IL – The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department at 3:22pm, responded to 65 Della St., Crystal Lake IL for a report of smoke coming from a single family residence.
Upon arrival on scene, fire crews noted light smoke coming from the structure and prepared for offensive fire operations.
Upon entering the structure, fire crews reported smoky conditions and located a small fire.
During fire suppression activities, fire crews located a deceased victim in the home in the area of the fire.
Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire and secured the fire scene for fire investigators and law enforcement.
Area fire departments including Nunda FPD, McHenry FPD, Huntley FPD and Algonquin FPD, along with the McHenry County Sherriff Department, assisted the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department at the scene.
The fire is currently under investigation.
