Found on page 375 of the 506-page McHenry County Board packet this past week is information about how the Mental Health 708 Board is going to save some money:

The McHenry County Mental Health Board (MHB) and McHenry County Information Technology Department (I.T.) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) in 2014.

This IGA provides the MHB with IT services and support for their staff, servers, internet, cyber security, and building security.

This agreement has saved the MHB hundreds of thousands of dollars per year through consolidation with McHenry County.

As the relationship continues to mature, we have re-evaluated the need and responsibilities of their dedicated support specialist.

Our conclusion is that we can downgrade the position from a grade 12E to a grade 7N.

As a result, the annual wage expense will decrease by an estimated amount of $25,499.00.

As the previous employee fulfilling the position did not partake in insurance coverage, this will not affect the 2025 MHB reimbursement to the County.
