At Tuesday’s McHenry County Board meeting, the Conservation District’s report comprises 196 pages of the Board’s 506-page agenda packet.

That’s almost 39% of the packet.

The purpose sought ia Board approval of the MCCD’s budget for next year.

In a law suit, this approach would be designated as “burdensome discovery,” that is, the side providing the discovery tries to hide something by burying it in a pile of irrelevant pages.

The slang term is “document dump.”

It is not that there is not lots of information provided.

I filed seven requests for additional information spurred by what I read and wrote three articles for which I did not need anything additional.
