From the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District:

Serious Crash

On January 22, 2025, at 4:25 p.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the 14600 block of Washington Street in unincorporated Woodstock.

Upon arrival, firefighters observed a two-vehicle crash with moderate damage. One vehicle was located in the roadway, while the other had come to rest in a ditch.

Paramedics on scene evaluated both male drivers, the sole occupants, for injuries.

A medical helicopter was initially requested for one of the patients; however, the request was declined due to weather conditions.

One individual sustained minor injuries, while the other sustained serious injuries; both were transported by ground ambulances to local hospitals for further treatment.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.

Any additional questions regarding the investigation, including cause, fault, seat-belt use, and speeds, should be referred to their office.
