Bushra Amiwala to Join McHenry County Democrats in Crystal Lake
CHICAGO—Bushra Amiwala, candidate for Congress in Illinois’ 9th district, will join McHenry County Democrats in Crystal Lake on Wednesday, January 21st.
Alongside other elected leaders, Amiwala will lead a robust discussion on policies that will make life better in Illinois.
Amiwala will share her story, vision and policy priorities for the future of IL-09 as the first Gen Z elected official in the country.
Attendees will have the chance to ask questions and learn more about her policies in an open, informative setting, alongside presentations from other members of McHenry Democrats.
McHenry County Democrats is the county’s premier political organization.
They advocate for good public policy, grassroots organizing and electoral politics to advance democratic renewal and progressive change in America.
Other members include Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Senator Dick Durbin, Senator Tammy Duckworth and Rep. Jan Schakowsky.
