From the Coroner:
McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on October 27, 2024, by McHenry County Sheriff’s Office around 3:30pm to investigate multiple deaths of a 2-car accident on Davis Rd. in Woodstock.
At this time, we have confirmed 3 fatalities, however, we have only positively confirmed the identity of one of the individuals at this time.
The person that has been identified is Amy Roeder, age 47 of Woodstock. Autopsies were done on October 28, 2024.
Preliminary autopsy results for Mrs. Roeder show blunt force injuries as the cause of death.
Toxicology is currently pending for all autopsies.
The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work collaboratively with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and the Woodstock Fire/Rescue Department during this investigation.
