Message of the Day – A Bumper Sticker
It's Saturday and, if the weather is good, a lot of motorcyclists will be on the road.
I found this bumper sticker on a Georgia car.
It says,
You'll notice that the Georgia license plate is one supporting wildlife.

Message of the Day - A Tee Shirt
Here’s another tee shirt I found at State Senator Chris Lauzen’s Porky Picnic. It was one of about a table full of ABATE members.
The message on the tee shirt?

Message of the Day – A Banner
Our family was driving on Dirksen Parkway from the Drury Inn in southeast Springfield to the Old Capitol Art Fair in May when I saw this banner in from the Illinois Department of Transportation headquarters building. I barely got off this shot in time to capture the message.
Reading the Chicago Tribune on Wednesday reminded me of the banner.
It says,
Start Seeing Motorcycles
There is another banner on Route 31 north of Algonquin in front of a gravel pit.Obviously the Escort-driving Mary Lewis of Barrington, who rear-ended 58-year old Fox River Grove motorcyclist Bruce Ankele on Route 12 near Big Hollow Road, wasn’t heeding the banner’s advice.
Ankele was slowing for a red light “when a speeding car struck him from behind,” the Tribune story says. The Daily Herald story by Lee Filas adds some details.

Message of a Day – Motorcycles and a Sign
The sign at Crystal Lake's Lakeside Festival says,NO PARKING
TOW ZONE
Crystal Lake Police,
TOW ZONE
Crystal Lake Police,
but look at the row of motorcycles.
Maybe the sign just meant no parking to the north on Country Club Road.
