Message of the Day - A Flag
This is one of the items made by the little tykes at the First Methodist Church of Crystal Lake’ Vacation Bible School.
About 320 children attended last week from 9-noon.

Is what this flag says.

Message of the Day – A Flag
I'm not much of a sports fan. Haven't been since the Dodgers moved from Brooklyn, although I did win some money betting from irrational White Sox fans betting on the LA version when they faced off in the World Series right while in my final two years of high school after moving from Middletown, New York, to Crystal Lake.
But, still, this Cubs flag deserves more publicity than it gets from being on a busy corner in a Lake in the Hills subdivision.
Don't you think?
Half mast and all.
As you can see I took it during winter.
Or was it late spring?
I wonder if it is still at half mast.

Message of the Day – A Flag
The snow that fell Monday night was so filled with moisture that it allowed this snow flag to form on our lantern.
You will notice that the wind was constant from the north because the snow flag is “flying,” rather than drooping listlessly.

Message of the Day – A Flag
I was following a van on the way back to Crystal Lake from my son’s swim practice with the McHenry Marlins. There was something on top that I couldn’t make out, so I took a picture.
Looking for a “Message of the Day,” I enlarged the flag enough to figure out that it was one of Scotland. And it was attached to a aerial on top of the van’s roof.
You can see what I saw, plus a close-up of the flag.
Understated love of one’s home country, I would suggest.
