Jack Franks hits the “tax fighter” theme, although so far he has not claimed to have lowered any local property taxes in 18 years of representing McHenry County.
This piece is the size small enough to fit into a business envelope.
One almost has to have a magnifying glass to figure out what the photos are about.
Jack Franks’ campaign piece talks of opposing all tax increases, cleverly ignoring the huge tax increase bill he introduced this term. People wait for Franks to come up with corruption in McHenry County he has fought while he earn legislative pension credits for 19 1/2 years at his part-time job.
In the upper right hand corner of the side seen above, note the Northwest Herald article about one of Jack Franks’ “headline bills.”
Headline bills are those everyone knows are not going to pass, ones that are only introduced in an attempt to get a headline.
The tactic works regularly with the NWH.
Also of interest is Franks claim about job creation.
The Illinois Manufacturing Association certainly does not agree, as you can see from the graphic below:

Jack Franks is a tax hiker by voting for legislative pension benefit hikes to pension systems that were already underfunded.
Ditto most the rest of the Illinois General Assembly and all the past Governors since at least 1970 and many since the inception of the pension systems.
All sorts of unfunded mandates including legislative pension and retiree healthcare benefit hikes have been dumped on local governments by the Illinois General Assembly including Jack Franks.
Unfunded mandates that drive up property taxes.
So now after causing property taxes to be hiked at the state, county, and local levels; he’s going to wave a magic wand and lower property taxes at the county level.
It’s pretty obvious people don’t understand pension and retiree healthcare legislation, funding, and law for him to even be able to make that claim without being ridiculed.
He’s just telling people what they want to hear and he has no chance at the county level of undoing the damage he and others have inflicted by their votes in the Illinois General Assembly.

You hit the nail on the head.
Like he has always done, he just tells people what they want to hear and he hopes they are stupid enough to either forget what he promised or they don’t hold him accountable.
This time, there are too many of us who are fully capable of holding him accountable and constantly letting the voters know who he really is and that he has no accomplishments at all.
I suppose Jack is demonstrating his tax fighting efforts by spending taxpayer $ on what appears to be a campaign letter for his quest for the county board chair.
How, exactly is that saving taxpayers?
I Jackie really wanted to show he was focused on saving taxpayers, he would have used his own money to send that letter.
Well at least he is being transparent. He is showing he will use taxpayer $ at will.
