What the Stadium Developer Has Done Before
Mid-America Sports' Pete Heitman, whose company is based in Libertyville, just as is Mark Houser’s EquityOne, proposed in 2002 that "Bay City pay to build a $5 million stadium with 4,500 seats and six suites on a portion of 48 acres of land along the Saginaw River,"according to the web version of the Bay City Times.
In 2003, Hietman was in the Macomb area pitching a stadium. The McComb Daily reported the
"Mount Clemens City Commissioners indicated that they will vote tonight to rescind previous action taken that tied Mount Clemens to Heitman's group,"according to Ball Park Watch.
In 2004, Heitman told Waukeshaw park officials of
"his plans for a $6.5 million stadium to host 45 home games with admission costing $10 or less,"the Milwaukee Journal reported.
