Jim McAuliff Not Announcing for State’s Attorney This Saturday
The rumor had outstanding sources, but I couldn’t get through to main player until today.
Yesterday, I reported that three people had told me that Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney Jim McAuliff was running for State’s Attorney against incumbent Lou Bianchi.
I called him before I ran the story to find out where the Saturday St. Patrick’s Day candidate announcement I had been told about would take place, but got no reply until just now. It must be his lunch hour.
The short of it is that it’s
I asked that McHenry County Blog be put on his press release list and for a photo. He said I would be.
McAuliff did say that he had been approached to run for McHenry County State's Attorney, where he previously had been in charge of the criminal division.
