Free Lunch at McHenry County Courthouse - Hurry!

You’ll have to hurry, but there’s a free lunch at the courthouse today. It's being held in conjunction with the inauguration of the 22nd Judicial Circuit.

Go up the elevator or the stairs to the 3rd floor and you’ll see it.

This was the scene when I left the swearing in ceremony for the newly elected or retained judges in a courtroom where rules against photographs were officially waived by an actual court motion by McHenry County Bar Association President Michael Fleck.

I left early in order to let you know about the free eats.

Well, there were other posts that I wanted to get up before I had to pick my son up from Crystal Lake’s South Elementary School, too.

And, yes, I know, the taxpayers probably paid for the tuna fish on a crescent roll that I took home with me.

The dignitaries allowed into the actual court room where the swearing and program occurred probably had a hard time finding a seat with all the “ordinary” folk already sitting down for lunch.
