Manzullo Tops 66% in McHenry County

As I stated below, a Republican in a 2-way race needs to win at least 60% of McHenry County’s votes in order to win statewide.

16th district Congressman Don Manzullo has achieved that goal.

He topped 66%.

30,498 for Manzullo to 15,506 for Democrat Richard Auman.

Auman’s visible campaign consisted only of yard signs, although I know that he went door-to-door to some extent.

136 write-in votes were cast, presumably for retired General John Borling, who did not get the time of day from the Northwest or Daily Herald. I saw yard signs on rights-of-way, but nothing else for Borling.
