Early Labor Day Weekend
9/2/6 -
People were out and about on Saturday morning in Crystal Lake.
First I saw a hot air balloon over Crystal Lake and even managed to stop at the Main Beach and get a picture of it before it disappeared behind the trees between the lake and Lippold Park.
Then, I saw a man trailing his boat, ready for launching, I imagine.

After our 7:30 AM United Methodist Men’s breakfast, I saw another boat either being launched at West Beach’s ramp or he was taking it in after a morning’s fishing.
Next, I noticed runners next to West Beach.
Man and woman.
Two men.
Bicyclers were on Gate 21 in Lakewood, first one with a runner.
Then, two more, one on a tricycle.
A little girl was getting ready for a party by tying a balloon to her family’s mailbox on South Shore Drive in Lakewood.
A woman was walking her large black dog.
A man was walking his small white dog.
And, a couple was walking holding hands.
Just before I got home, I saw a young lady with two dogs.
The two guys I took a picture of at West Beach tied me in getting home on Meridian Street.
It's a joyious beginning to the holiday that traditionally marks the end of summer.
