What Did District 300 Tax Hike Committee Rent from School District?

As I looked through the District 300 tax hike committee’s expenditures, I found something a bit strange.

Advance 300 paid School District 300 $1,180 in rent.

What’s that all about?

Did they rent the space to fly the green ribbons on the fence?

Or did they rent the auditorium at Jacobs where the student rallies were held?

Comments:
Bet it was to rent the school buildings for meetings about the referendum...

It would be interesting to know.

I imagine it could be requested by Freedom of Information Act request.

D158 was found to be allowing use of its building rooms for B.E.S.T (formerly a political action committee) for pre referendum meetings - without rent and without certificate of insurance. (Ms. Cheryl Meyer's involvement with B.E.S.T. and the subsequent info that came out about that arrangement might have been an inspiration for the D300 folks to do it - WITH rent, to avoid a similar revelation.)

FOIA requests are a pain in the neck but they're very useful sometimes even if the info is originally denied or stalled.

Of course, there is always the "missing" or not in possession of the District response to sometimes deal with.

You're both wrong. They just rented out their remaining scraps of dignity and sense of duty to the community.
