GOP Gubernatorial Candidate Judy Topinka in Gay Pride Parade

Finally found the Illinois Family Institute’s picture of Judy Topinka in the (Gay) Pride Parade.

Just in case anyone thought she would stop irritating those for whom the issue is important.

The other picture is from the NBC web site.

Sometimes you have to vote for the lesser of two evils...

I can't stand the fact that I have to vote for the lesser of two evils. Cal, can I write you in?

then we would have to vote for the lesser of 3 evils. It all depends on your point of view.

I hope that remark was meant to be funny.....no dissin' Cal, it's his blog.

Why do you *have* to vote for the lesser of two evils? Are you being coerced? Voting for the lesser of two evils is voting for evil. Until voters realize that and can bring themselves to vote for something other than evil, guess what we'll keep getting for elected officials?

Are you proposing we just don't vote? What is the alternative? When the parties have been decided, and the only choices are the ones on the ballot, what should one do come voting day?

The problem is, if we don't vote for the lesser of two evils, we will be stuck with the greater of two evils for another 4 long years. I can't imagine what kind of shape this state will be in if things continue as is.

The minute you don't go out and vote for somebody, you lose your voice, and as far as I'm concerned, your right to complain. You've only got yourself to blame. Even if you don't agree with all of a candidates political positions (hey, if we did that, practically noone would vote) we should vote for whom we believe is the best candidate.

Very rarely do we get to choose the "best" candidate; we usually are left to choose the "better" candidate.

If only the "best" person for the job could hold their nose long enough to agree to serve - then we'd really get somewhere!
