EXTRA – A Special "Message of the Day" from My Son
My 8 and 11/12ths-year old son gave me this card for Father’s Day.It looks like a quarter, which, of course, features the father of our country.
It says,
In Dad We TrustThe year on the coin-card is 2006.

Inside was a good play on words:
Don't ever change.Maybe he was inspired by our trip to the top of the Washington Monument.
In this family, of course, we put our trust in God, our Heavenly Father.

Walk a little slower……
Walk a little slower, Daddy,
Said a little child so small.
I'm following in your footsteps
And I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast,
Sometimes they are hard to see;
So, walk a little slower, Daddy,
For you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up,
You're what I want to be;
Then I will have a little child
Who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right,
And know that I was true;
So walk a little slower, Daddy,
For I must follow you.
