Two More Developers Kick in Cash to District 300 Tax Hikers

If memory serves me correctly, the District 300 tax hike committee had $252,000 (going back to the beginning of last year) in resources to convince local citizens that it was essential to vote “Yes” and to vote “Yes” before the latest revelations of campaign contributions hit the screen of the Illinois State Board of Elections.

And I was just about ready to go to bed.

The contributions from two new homebuilders willing to tell current taxpayers that they should raise their taxes in order to increase the developers’ profits are
$1,000 from Brier Hill Crossing LLC, Lincolnshire (See here, too.)

$5,000 from Kimball Hill Homes, Rolling Meadows
The lawyer co-chairing the tax hike committee told the Northwest Herald Sunday that her committee was $50,000 short of their fund raising goal.

Now, the tax hike committee is $34,000 short…minus whatever money those contributing less than $150 gave.

Not reported until this morning was that Kimball Hill gave $1,000 to the Indiana Prairie School District's tax hike committee.
