How Much Will District 300 Tax Hikers Spend to “Buy” Your Vote?

No, of course, I don’t mean the tax hikers will be handing out cash like Democrats did in East St. Louis during the last presidential election. That’s called “walking around money” and has a long and colorful history in Illinois, as elsewhere. That’s illegal.

But, let’s consider how much will have been spent by the District 300 tax hikers when this election is over. When I divide the number of votes I expect into that number, it comes out $7 a vote. To see how I got that figure, click here.

Thanks to Cal Skinner -

your comment about the amount of dollars being spent/paid per vote on D300 referendums was quite
interesting.

It also made me wonder how many of those YES voters will storm the district the next day anyway to pay up their estimated property tax increase VOLUNTARILY if the referendums don't pass. That would be some serious "change" I'm sure.

It would also be a headline first.
