District 300 Tax Hike Committee Makes Fund Raising Goal with $2,500 from (Hold Your Breath) Another Developer
No big surprise that another homebuilder “saw the light” or, maybe, felt some peer pressure and kicked in $2,500 to the District 300 tax hike committee.
Grand Pointe Homes, Inc., is the tax hikers benefactor revealed today.
The homebuilder has a 55+ development in Algonquin and a West Dundee development of townhouses and single family homes.
I figure puts these tax hikers at over $200,000 to spend on this extravaganza of political campaign. And, this means that the missing $40,000 mentioned the Sunday before last in the Northwest Herald’s front page story by Allison Smith has been attained.

Hmmmmm - I think I see a trend here.
Omitted revenue, overestimated expenses, invisible EAV even in a housing boom, other projections too high, etc. - that sure sounds like some folks in D300's boundaries have a problem with numbers.
Heck, now it even extends to the "poor us, we won't get as much money from the developers to push the tax increase" comments. The continuing appearance of contributions proves they once again have a problem determining numbers. Most contributors know well in advance what they'll be tossing in the kitty. Keeping it a surprise from the recipients - especially when it involves children - would sure seem cruel. And highly unlikely.
Yes, they seem to be quite up on the latest campaign trends in the D300 boundaries, do they also teach math?
